Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the location of the 1981 Marian Apparitions. Six youngsters beheld the Blessed Virgin Mary on what is now known as Apparition Hill on June 24, 1981. Our Lady's apparition sent a message of peace to the globe, as well as a summons to conversion, prayer, and fasting.
Around 40 million pilgrims from all over the globe have come to Medjugorje to see the Blessed Virgin and hear her message.
Vicka, Ivan, Jakov, Ivanka, Marija, and Mirjana, the six visionaries, continue to receive apparitions of the Blessed Virgin.
Vicka, Ivan, and Marija have daily apparitions, whereas Ivanka, Mirjana, and Jakov get apparitions just once a year.
The visionaries hear Our Lady's word, which is translated into numerous languages. Her main message has been condensed down into the Five Stones of Medjugorje: heart-felt prayer, fasting, daily bible reading, confession, and Holy Eucharist (Mass).
